The Sartorial Sparrow

I got lucky and Will and Diva let me crash in their room at the Hyatt for a whirlwind DragonCon this year. I got into Atlanta on Friday evening and left Sunday evening whereas Will and Diva were there Tuesday to Tuesday or something. Soon they will be getting there a week before the con actually starts because of all of the crazy events and the massive growth of the con even since I started going back in 2012!  This was my 10th DragonCon since 2012 and I am so glad I went. It was my first trip and first con without Mark and it was great to be there on my own terms and able to do whatever I wanted to do, whenever I wanted to do it. Admittedly, all I did was wander around and look at costumes with a few forays into the Hall of Fame, Art Walk and Vendor Rooms but it was all my decision to go where when and I didn't have anyone nagging me about spending too much time smoking or talking to strangers (that weren't women because Mark.  I've made this with tofu and with soy curls and both times it's been amazing! You could use pretty much any protein you want and it would be delicious though. It only takes 1 pot which is nice too.  I adapted/simplified the original recipe from the Vegan Richa website and she has some really great recipes up there. Definitely recommend checking her out.  For the Tofu 14 oz Super Firm Tofu, cubed (you can get extra firm tofu too but you have to press it for like 15 mins to get the extra water out of there first) 2 tbsp oil 1 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1 tea garam masala 2 tea Kashmiri chili powder 1/2 teaspoon salt 2 tbsp cornstarch or arrowroot  For the Sauce  1 tbsp oil 1 1/2 cup chopped red onion 1/2 tea salt 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste 1/2 tea turmeric 2 tea Kashmiri chili powder 1 tbsp coriander  1 1/2 tea garam masala 1 can tomato sauce 1 can full fat coconut milk  In a small bowl mix together the spices, salt and cornstarch. I decided on short notice to go to DragonCon this year and I am so excited so I wanted to share some of my favorite photos over the years, I am missing some so they must be on my computer and will have to look for them so I can share more.
