Cross Stitch - Oldies but Goodies

All of these projects were done 10 or more years ago and most of them were given away to friends with one exception. I was always really bad about keeping any of my projects over the years but have been working on that because it's nice to have some of my creations for myself!

I will try and list the sources for the patterns and who I gave it to if I can remember!

Pattern source - A Cross Stitcher's Oriental Odyssey by Joan Elliot
I've actually made quite a few projects from this book including the next piece and there are some truly beautiful patterns in there. I still have the book and will get back to it eventually to make some of the other patterns for sure.

Also from A Cross Stitcher's Oriental Odyssey
I traded this piece for a beautiful hand knitted sweater that was hot pink from a pattern based off an original pattern from the 40s. It was so beautiful and I am sad that I wore it out but I am glad I did.

I don't remember where I got this pattern from but I know I went off script on it because my goal with this one was to use up some of the floss I had because my collection was getting out of control! My mom used to work at Hobby Lobby and would occasionally give me gallon bags of floss that she got for super cheap so I have pretty much at least 1 of every DMC floss color. This was a big piece, 24 x 24 but it went pretty fast and was fun because my only rule was not to have the same color right next to each other so it required a lot less planning and thought than most of the others I've made. I gave it to a friend so she could make herself a pillow from it but I don't know if she ever did and unfortunately we have long lost touch with each other

I have no idea where I got this pattern from or where this piece went but I really wish I had kept it because it was so lovely and the colors were just amazing.

Pattern source - Orenco Designs
Made this one as a wedding gift for two friends and they were kind enough to send me a photo of it framed on their mantle. Orenco has a lot of gorgeous full coverage patterns and you will definitely be seeing more of their patterns here.

Pattern source - Not sure but I think it's also from the Oriental Odyssey book
I had made this for my mom who just sorta rolled it up and it floated around her house for years until I finally took it back and gave it to my friend Brii who managed to find this absolutely gorgeous frame for it. It made me so happy to see it go to home where it was appreciated and actually hung up!
