Good Times with Good Friends

 As I was sorting through my photos for the blog I also discovered that I still have some great pictures of my friends and I over the years and wanted to share some of my favorites. These are all from Salt Lake Dark Arts over the years and I know I have more on my actual computer so I am sure I will post a couple of more in the future. I miss my SLC crew.

Coby was always one of my favorite people to hang out with. One of the biggest personalities and hearts I've known. Hope he is doing well 

Rieder the club manager at the time. I always had fun hanging out with him during setup and sound check and just shooting the breeze.

Rob of the Magic Queso. Absolute teddy bear of a man who could cook like no one's business. The after parties at his and his wife's house were always one of the highlights of the trip for sure. 


Cinnamon and her wife Megan. Cinnamon was actually the real person that the drawings of Death from Sandman were based off of and if you were ever lucky enough to meet her, you could see why. She was such a lovely person.  


Father Sable LOL He always had the best outfits every single year. I definitely think I have more of us together somewhere.

Thrifting find - Cat by Pat Schaverien

 I always love it when I find something I really like at the thrift store and can actually get information about it. In this case I found this super cute cat print/drawing and had to have it.  Thankfully it  had the artist information on the back so after a quick Google search I was able to find out that this is titled 'P.C. IV' (Seated Cat) and was originally done somewhere around 1989. I doubt this is an original and I am definitely not going to open up the frame to find out.  The artist, Pat Schaverien was British and her works are held in the Victoria & Albert Museum and the Ben Uri Collection.  Which by the way, the Ben Uri Collection is a digital research center and museum in London who specializes in researching and recording Jewish, refugee and immigrant contributions to British visual arts and they have apparently been around since 1900 which is super awesome. Cross Stitch - Oldies but Goodies

All of these projects were done 10 or more years ago and most of them were given away to friends with one exception. I was always really bad about keeping any of my projects over the years but have been working on that because it's nice to have some of my creations for myself!  I will try and list the sources for the patterns and who I gave it to if I can remember!  Pattern source - A Cross Stitcher's Oriental Odyssey by Joan Elliot I've actually made quite a few projects from this book including the next piece and there are some truly beautiful patterns in there. I still have the book and will get back to it eventually to make some of the other patterns for sure.  Oriental Odyssey Also from A Cross Stitcher's Oriental Odyssey  I traded this piece for a beautiful hand knitted sweater that was hot pink from a pattern based off an original pattern from the 40s. It was so beautiful and I am sad that I wore it out but I am glad I did.  Pattern source ?  I don't...

Makeup - Oldies but Goodies
